Narayana scored well in all the 7 parameters we considered . It has got very good university ‘Out Come’ over years . Students are given freedom as likely to be given in a professional college . Its among only few private medical colleges in AP , without ‘Uniform’ dress code . But , their academics are well monitored with prior academic schedules and weekly assessment tests . Only college that displays its RESULTS proudly in its website . They recently started posting final years for night duties in OBGY Department to train them on deliveries , so that they can face practical examination with more ease . Failing students intentionally never been in practice at NMC . Facilities in campus doesn’t match even with many deemed university colleges . NMC is only private medical college in India to have 250 Recognized MBBS seats. NMC cleared NAAC inspection with good score and its about to be deemed university in near future .

GITAM / GIMSR being deemed University , MBBS course is being finished 3 months earlier than that of Dr NTRUHS , giving an advantage of 3 months over others to prepare for NEET PG . Students of GITAM are luckiest of all AP Medicos as they need not face the mis administration of Dr NTRUHS . Efforts to set certain standards of medical education to meet their brand value are clearly evident , with the recent increase in the patient load and special focus on clinical training . They are focused on departments needed to train their MBBS students , rather than promoting super specialty departments to get more patients and income . We felt that , even being one of the youngest medical college as of now , GIMSR has got every advantage to be the renowned institute once they commence PG & Post PG Courses .

GSL Rajahmundry is known for its discipline ! Students at GSL live their lives deprived of freedom ; as they expects , once they are into a professional course . They aren’t free birds until they finish their MBBS , but GSL has recorded good over all outcome . After seeing the present scenario , we feel that GSL isn’t wrong , as its preventing a probable percent from being alcoholics / smokers / mentionable undisciplined . GSL MC has got one of the best state of art Simulation Labs in India , as like no where in AP . As academics and clinical training are well monitored , training for MBBS students is up to the mark . In parents & training prospective , GSL is certainly recommended as best . INCLUSIVENESS and sense of togetherness is best at GSL MC . But many alumni’s of GSL MC report about over discipline at GSL , with a sense of unusual hatred ! They recall only negatives , particularly FINES , when mentioning their college . As a father & a Teacher , I am recommending GSL . But , it is very much needed that , its management should start showing their concern for students in an affectionate and convincing manner as some students are been sensitive and not being able to tackle stress .

MIMS Vizianagaram , is leading over other colleges in recent university results . Bharat Medicos is very glad to see a principal like Dr Lakshmi Prasad , who stands as an apt definition for Ideal Principal / Head of the Institute . He mastered in commanding students with his positive sense of expression . We can say that no other principle of any other medical colleges has got such a connect with his students . His FINES are troublesome , but ultimately he and the institute as such is supportive to MBBS students in every aspect , making MIMS as a FINEST medical college . He behaves like a typical Indian ‘DADDY’ with his students . Yes – its troublesome to also have restrictions in a professional college – But ultimately , students are understanding his concerns and cooperating and seeing the fruitful ‘ results ’ . Even as we consider other factors , MIMS always been a student friendly medical college . Academics , Faculty & togetherness among students are quite satisfactory . Particularly , in nourishing divinity in ‘Teacher-Student Relationship’ MIMS stands as a model medical college . We request MIMS to reconsider its FINES . At least the amount collected can be spent directly for the students .

ASRAMS , Eluru is the Best Recommended Medical College in AP Capital Region . Academics , Outcome , Campus & Facilities are almost all equal in all capital region medical colleges . But students at ASRAM has never been into differentiation among themselves . Inclusiveness is a key factor , even Union Govt had taken it as a parameter in its NIRF rankings – If a medical college cannot teach its students , the essence of togetherness and look at every student as equals without differentiation , It would be a blunder . Discipline imposed at ASRAMS been helpful to overcome the social evil prevalent in any other colleges in that region . ASRAM nourishes students to grow independent with enough freedom . That , they dare to come out and protest in support of their favorite faculty in an occasion and for holidays usually . Management of ASRAM always been student friendly . Favoritism has never got a role at ASRAM . Its beautiful campus , modern library and other facilities makes campus life at ASRAM , Cheerful . Restricting the movement of students within the campus is objectionable & sounds odd in a medical college . We request its management to reconsider Outing restrictions & periodical biometrics , as they are building up stress and huge negativity among its students .

NRI / Anil Neerukonda , Vizag recorded fastest growth in the past 3 years . In every medical college , students feels certain disconnect with the management and faculty – But at NRI , Vizag – Its Chairman , resides in the campus and takes care of every needs of students . They are having good number of regular faculty in all departments. NRI Vizag , having foreign return doctor as chairman , knows the level of respect to be given for TO BE DOCTORS , PG’s & Faculty . Enthusiasm in further expanding patient based services to build a strong patient base can be noted from the regular faculty they are maintaining . Students at NRI Vizag mentioned positive notes about their college , than at other colleges . It never failed its students in practicals intentionally . It is perfect example for a student friendly campus with professionalism .

KIMS , Amalapuram / Katuri / PES Kuppam are near equals , but we chosen to recommend KIMS in the next place . As a part of renowned group of educational institutions , KIMS been focused on maintaining good ‘Outcome’ . KIMS , always been supportive to students to make their campus life awesome . KIMS hosted maximum number of Academic & Non Academic FESTS & Sports events . KIMS had already got a strong patient base in few departments and recording a constant growth in others . Comparatively , Interns are getting better training in few departments . Students at KIMS are more connected to their faculty as most of them been working from a long time , which is to be specially mentioned . Even though there are few negative feedbacks , even those who mentioned them are confident that , if yet they been to the notice of their directors , they would be sorted out .

It would be a surprise to not find few Well known Colleges in our recommendations . But they have some serious issues to be fixed . Few students in those colleges are having a sense of discrimination and complain favoritism by faculty . When I received a complain that ‘students of 1 particular caste’ were failed , I came to know that it happened as a part of controlling growing indiscipline . It is good to know that they wanted to rectify things and stop favoritism ; but failing and detaining is not the way to build harmony and togetherness among students . Much more sensitive and sincere efforts are expected . Specialty departments cannot be neglected by looking at super specialties as money gaining departments . They should continue to offer subsided services in specialty departments as students learn from there .

The growth of those colleges are not up to the mark and they failed in utilizing opportunity of being in capital city , due to some internal issues . One of those colleges , need to impose discipline in a different way and head of the institution should be given full freedom to initiate reforms and interference of management committee should be minimal . I wish them to grow to the mark of esteemed institutes as like Ramachandra in TN capital , as like MS Ramaiah in KN capital , as like D.Y Patel in Maharashtra Capital , as like Amrita in Kerala’s commercial capital . Yes , as many as esteemed tertiary care hospitals are needed for AP . We don’t even have a Govt Super specialty hospital in our capital . Our SMC , even being university medical college is at a pathetic stage . It isn’t fit , even to be compared with MMC Chennai & BMC Banglore . So , private medical colleges in AP should take additional responsibility to cater accurate , quality and affordable tertiary and referral health services for people of Andhra Pradesh .
